During this maintenance window, all users may experience: Temporary authentication issues Intermittent API request failures Brief service interruptions from 7-8 PM CST No user data is at risk. We are actively monitoring the migration and validating all services as they come back online. If you experience issues, please retry your request after a few minutes or contact support if the problem persists. Post-Incident Report — SnapGPT Website Outage https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/773450 Mon, 24 Nov 2025 23:33:00 -0000 https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/773450#2aa7a6e2b28fa0c7868867803baf7e6aacaf26b6ef851605bebe77447fee54f6 SnapGPT Website Incident — November 24, 2025 Status: Resolved Duration: ~6 hours Summary The main SnapGPT website was unavailable for several hours due to the same DNS configuration issue that affected the SnapGPT API earlier in the day. This caused snapgpt.me to become unreachable or show redirect/SSL errors while DNS records were in a partially-propagated state. Impact The homepage at snapgpt.me would not load for some users Some visitors saw “Too many redirects” or “This page isn’t working” The website was intermittently unreachable across different regions No user data or accounts were affected The API and website outages were linked, but resolved separately Resolution We corrected the DNS configuration, applied subdomain-specific SSL rules, and re-established proper routing. Once DNS propagation completed globally, the website became fully accessible again. Next Steps We are improving our DNS management and monitoring to prevent multi-hour outages and ensure that website and API changes do not interfere with each other in the future. Additional safeguards and fallback routing will be implemented to improve reliability. Thank you for your patience — everything is fully operational again. SnapGPT API Incident — November 24, 2025 https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/773448 Mon, 24 Nov 2025 23:32:00 -0000 https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/773448#7ad5e25c5153f1cd5f2e1b6510948abd9a08781d779015ecdb034df6724ec67d SnapGPT API Outage — November 24, 2025 Status: Resolved Duration: 6 hours 18 minutes Summary SnapGPT’s API became unavailable starting at 10:52 AM CST due to a DNS configuration failure that caused api.snapgpt.me to stop resolving correctly across multiple global regions. This resulted in API timeouts, SSL errors, and connection failures. All SnapGPT products that rely on the API — including the Chrome and Firefox extensions — were affected. The issue has been fully resolved as of 5:10 PM CST. Impact API requests failed globally for ~6 hours Image and text analysis features were unavailable Chrome/Firefox extensions could not communicate with the API Some users saw SSL, connection, or timeout errors No user data loss occurred Resolution A misconfiguration in DNS caused the API endpoint to become unreachable. We corrected the DNS records, restored proper SSL behavior for the API, and verified successful recovery from all monitoring locations. All services are now stable and operating normally. Next Steps To prevent similar issues in the future, we are: Improving DNS configuration safeguards Adding additional global health monitoring Setting up redundancy for API routing Strengthening deployment and fallback mechanisms We sincerely apologize for the interruption and appreciate your patience while we restored service. Anthropic Claude requests failing — GPT unaffected https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/740233 Thu, 09 Oct 2025 00:02:00 -0000 https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/740233#82917b06fdc2b560909706d52e062175c9a2005810b43227d753b0f651a361cc The earlier issue causing Anthropic Claude requests to fail has been fully resolved. All Claude Sonnet and related model requests are now processing normally. OpenAI GPT requests remained unaffected throughout. Anthropic Claude requests failing — GPT unaffected https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/740233 Wed, 08 Oct 2025 15:10:00 -0000 https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/740233#2df458adb54f9c23697022cb6ff23cbaf3c47213c952116344c009b0eb942ae2 We’ve identified an issue causing all Anthropic Claude requests to fail. OpenAI GPT requests remain unaffected. Claude Sonnet is currently unavailable due to a system-side problem. Our team is working on a fix and will provide an update shortly. SnapGPT API experienced a brief outage https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/735802 Wed, 01 Oct 2025 16:10:00 -0000 https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/735802#59060f410c9c805e5582f8f63ccf0fcb9548f0f4d9a8f80b0bcee4dfad15258c We experienced a brief service disruption affecting the SnapGPT Application API starting at 9:39 AM CDT. A sudden surge in traffic temporarily exceeded our server capacity, which caused timeouts for some requests across multiple regions. The issue was resolved quickly at 9:50 AM CDT, and the API is fully operational again. We’re increasing our server capacity to better handle future demand spikes. Thanks for bearing with us during the interruption. If you ran into errors during this period, no action is needed — everything is back to normal. ⚠️ Dashboard & API Outage https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/611537 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 06:30:00 -0000 https://status.snapgpt.me/incident/611537#a48e48fdc20a7b1c0bc1ad981fe8666965e50451d90ea23df0ed78399c5f906c Summary: SnapGPT services were degraded between June 25 and June 29, preventing real users from accessing core functionality, including the dashboard and subscription system. Details: An alpha version of internal test code was unintentionally running in our production environment, which caused significant degradation to our backend servers. This blocked access to the SnapGPT Dashboard, API, and Stripe webhook endpoints, meaning users were unable to sign up, manage subscriptions, or cancel during this time. Impact: - Dashboard was unavailable or unstable for most users - Stripe billing events and subscription management failed - New subscriptions and cancellations were not processed Resolution: As of June 29 at 12:30 PM PST, the test processes were fully disabled and all systems have been restored to full functionality. Stripe webhooks are once again receiving and processing events normally. Next steps: - Strengthened isolation between alpha/testing environments and production - Implemented stricter server resource monitoring and throttling rules - Added uptime checks for Stripe-related endpoints If you attempted to subscribe, cancel, or manage your billing and couldn’t, please contact us or use this link to access your Stripe Customer Portal directly. If the outage directly affected your use of the service, you may be eligible for a free subscription. We sincerely apologize for the disruption — thank you for bearing with us. — The SnapGPT Team
