⚠️ Dashboard & API Outage
Resolved
Jun 30 at 01:30am CDT
Summary:
SnapGPT services were degraded between June 25 and June 29, preventing real users from accessing core functionality, including the dashboard and subscription system.
Details:
An alpha version of internal test code was unintentionally running in our production environment, which caused significant degradation to our backend servers. This blocked access to the SnapGPT Dashboard, API, and Stripe webhook endpoints, meaning users were unable to sign up, manage subscriptions, or cancel during this time.
Impact:
Dashboard was unavailable or unstable for most users
Stripe billing events and subscription management failed
New subscriptions and cancellations were not processed
Resolution:
As of June 29 at 12:30 PM PST, the test processes were fully disabled and all systems have been restored to full functionality. Stripe webhooks are once again receiving and processing events normally.
Next steps:
Strengthened isolation between alpha/testing environments and production
Implemented stricter server resource monitoring and throttling rules
Added uptime checks for Stripe-related endpoints
If you attempted to subscribe, cancel, or manage your billing and couldn’t, please contact us or use this link to access your Stripe Customer Portal directly. If the outage directly affected your use of the service, you may be eligible for a free subscription.
We sincerely apologize for the disruption — thank you for bearing with us.
